The Hardship Fund

Our Hardship Fund is a division of the IAED and operates as a 501(c)6.

This part of The IAED began in 2010.

The Committee is designed to financially help our members in good standing with the IAED who are working equine dental practitioners.

Unfortunately, an accident or injury can occur putting that person in a position where they cannot support themselves or their families. Should this happen, this person or a spokesperson can request Hardship funds to give them a hand up. Those seeking funds must have been a member for at least one (1) year.

Once the request has been submitted, The Committee will meet and do some research to confirm the request is legitimate. At that point, funds up to $2500 would be sent directly to the member in need. Additional funds could be made available in particularly tragic cases.

Funds are raised through contributions to the fund. These funds are kept separate from the general membership account. Our biggest fundraiser happens at the Benefit auction during our annual conference. At the auction, all kinds of items are donated by our generous members and the wonderful vendors supporting us. It really is quite a fun event and it is always great to see how happy everyone is seeing their money going to such a worthy cause.

Thanks to all who contribute, we have helped so many of our colleagues and their families when the need arises and that’s a very good feeling.

If you are an IAED member and are in need of financial assistance please send an email to info@iaed.ucidev.com and we will send you an application.
